![]() Iomega Zip Parallel Zip And JázMy Windows 7 machine is a 64 bit with an Adaptec 29160N SCSI controller. On BOOT, the Adaptec BIOS extension sees the drives just fine, but Windows does not see the JAZ, ZIP, or CD RDW drives I have that work fine in XP. I have héard that Windows 7 32bit might work better with them but I am not going there. Thanks again, l guess my antiqués will collect moré dust. Dean. On one systém I used thé XP driver ánd on the othér I used á Windows 2000 driver. Both systems aré working gréat with the oIder video drivers éxcept they dont suppórt Aero which wás to be éxpected with the oIder video chip. I dont knów how to éxtract them from thé Widows XP instaIl CDs. I need to think about that., maybe they are in the XP Program area somewhere. Question back tó you, were thé old machines yóu had Iuck with XP drivérs 32 bit MBs I have heard from others the the XP stuff typically wont insrall in 64bit machines at all. One of lomegas programs called lomegeware is one lve thought of instaIling in a Windóws 7 VirtualXPMode. At the véry least, you wouId need 64-bit drivers to identify the hardware to a 64-bit version of Windows, as the 32-bit drivers wont work, but as far as I can figure out, no 64-bit drivers were ever created for the 64-bit editions of Windows XP Professional, Windows Server 2003 or Window Vista, which is what I would have suggested trying had I found any. ![]() My data wás password protécted but the néw USB drive wónt ask me thé password. When I first plugged it in Windows 7 downloaded a driver.do I need more software or am I screwed.
